HISTORICAL ROUTES
Castelliere Savalons
Mereto di Tomba
One of the best preserved castellieri in the region, with a perimeter of 770 metres and an inner area of about 3 hectares. It dates back to the Early Bronze Age (2300 - 1700 BC).
Borgo rurale
Sterpo di Bertiolo
The hamlet of Sterpo, formerly the domain of the Colloredo family, stands on the line of the resurgences: it has a mill and farmhouses lined up 'a curtain' since the 14th century.
Mulino Zoratto
Codroipo
It dates back to 1450 and is located near the Risorgive Park. It produces organic flour and is famous for the manual beating of stockfish.
Mulino di Glaunicco
Camino al Tagliamento
Near Glaunicco, a mill was already mentioned in the 15th century as a property of the Serenissima. Ippolito Nievo mentions it in his novella 'Il Varmo'.
Mulino di Rivis
Sedegliano
An old mill in a picturesque location between the Friulian countryside and the wide river bed of the Tagliamento River, open for guided tours of the building and the machinery still present.
Centro storico
Valvasone
It was built on a medieval layout, enriched by irrigation ditches. The castle, begun in the 13th century, and the 16th-century organ, with paintings by Pordenone and Pomponio Amalteo, are worth visiting.
