The countdown has officially started for ‘Pole Vaulting in Villa Manin‘, one of the most eagerly awaited athletics events in the region.
One of the most spectacular disciplines of the queen of sports will be hosted inside the estate of Passariano di Codroipo, making the event unique not only from a sporting point of view.
Specialists from all over Italy and Europe will meet on Saturday 31 August, during a day that opens at 10 a.m. with the challenges reserved for the junior categories.
Closing at 10 p.m. after the international competition reserved for the big men’s and women’s categories. Participants in the challenge will be announced as soon as the cast is finalised.
Organised by Atletica 2000 of Codroipo and included in the international calendar of the World Athletics, the event also includes the test reserved to senior categories (from 2 p.m.) and the pole vault approach course reserved to primary and middle school children (“Just Jump”, from 4 to 6 p.m., which can be pre-registered through this LINK).
This is the first step towards a very technical discipline that takes a long time to master. In parallel, many other initiatives, with sport as the common denominator, but not only.
In the area of the round barchesse of Villa Manin, a rugby field (in reduced size) and a volleyball field will be set up, where youth tournaments will be held.
Space is also given to culture with the exhibition dedicated to the works of Andrea Dalla Costa, painter, photographer and designer. An artist whose works have also been hosted by the Venice Biennale.
The ‘Pole Vault at Villa Manin’, organised in collaboration with ERPAC, is part of the second edition of ‘Fly high with sport’. The project, desired by the Coni Fvg and financed by the Region, through sports events (such as Open Days), workshops, exhibitions and meetings aims to bring to light among young people the values that sport, above all, can transmit. It is worth mentioning that during the day on Saturday 31 August there will be refreshment areas as well as music thanks to a DJ set.
