Iconic American singer-songwriter, composer, producer, arranger and guitarist who has written and produced memorable masterpieces since the 1970s, Nile Rodgers is one of the most appreciated musicians of all time, a pioneer of a truly unprecedented language that has transformed disco music and funk into new art forms, together with his band Chic, the band that has influenced dance music more than any other.

Already the winner of numerous Grammy Awards and a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Nile Rodgers has just been awarded the Polar Music Prize 2024, or the Nobel Prize for Music, for “his style of guitar playing with sharp chords that creates a hypnotic rhythm capable of moving millions of people on the dance floor”.

Nile Rodgers, together with his legendary band Chic, announces a new sensational concert that will be the only one scheduled in the whole of Northern Italy: on Friday 19 July at Villa Manin, the famous architectural complex, an authentic artistic heritage of our country, located in Codroipo in Friuli Venezia Giulia, which will thus return to the centre of the international music scene.

Tickets for the exclusive concert – organised by VignaPR and FVG Music Live, in collaboration with Erpac FVG, PromoTurismoFVG and D’Alessandro & Galli – will go on sale starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 18 March online at Ticketone.it and at authorised points of sale.

As leader and co-founder of Chic, Nile Rodgers pioneered a musical language that generated top chart hits such as Le Freak, the best-selling single in the history of Atlantic Records, sparking the advent of hip-hop with Good Times.

His work in the CHIC Organization, including We Are Family with Sister Sledge and I’m Coming Out with Diana Ross and his productions for artists such as David Bowie with Let’s Dance, Madonna with Like A Virgin and Duran Duran with The Reflex, have sold over 500 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, while his innovative and trend-setting collaborations with Daft Punk on Get Lucky, with Daddy Yankee on Agua and with Beyoncé on Cuff It, make him the undisputed genius of funk, soul and pop music.

The concert by Nile Rodgers & Chic at Villa Manin, in addition to the one scheduled at Umbria Jazz, will be an unmissable opportunity to listen live to all the great hits written and produced by the New York artist, songs that have made entire generations dance and that continue to thrill with their elegant and irresistible rhythm. It will therefore be a celebration of the rhythm and energy that only a living legend like Nile Rodgers and his band can offer.
