The Bristol-based electronic trio founded by Geoff Barrow of Portishead, Billy Fuller and Will Young is known for its music that fuses krautrock, electronica and experimental rock. On this tour, which has one exclusive Italian date, Beak> will present their fourth album ‘>>>>’.

The band said: ‘Deep down, we always wanted it to be music for the mind, to be listened to as a whole album, not as individual tracks. That’s why we are releasing this album without singles or promo tracks’. The recording and writing of the album began at a house called Pen Y Bryn in Talsarnau, Wales, after Covid. With the opening track, ‘Strawberry Line’ (a tribute to their dog Alfie), the album captures a sense of spontaneity and candour, with sounds that vary between sad and euphoric, between honest and subtly ironic.

‘After playing hundreds of gigs and festivals over the years, we felt that touring was starting to affect our writing to the point where we weren’t sure who we were anymore. So we decided to go back to the roots of our first album, with no expectations, just playing together in a room.’
