Thanks to the desire of the Vicepresident and Friuli Venezia Giulia Region’s Councillor for Culture to promote the compendium of the prestigious Villa Manin also with initiatives that bring collectors closer to collecting, an exhibition tradition that in the past has also seen important appointments with international antiques in this historic and prestigious venue is being revived.
The Doge’s Casket in Villa Manin will therefore also be opening with new entertainment formulas and new cultural occasions, meetings and themed conversations dedicated to the various sectors of collecting, where experts in the field will also be taking part. Following all the various appointments scheduled there will be a special guest of honour, Alessandro Rosa, art expert and well-known face of television with the programme Cash or Trash.
Entertainment formulas, therefore, not only for the public of enthusiasts but also for the younger ones who will also be able to see and touch the importance of craft traditions and the value of handmade objects, admiring the section dedicated to ancient crafts.
There will be six events starting at 9 a.m. and ending at sunset: 25 April, 2 June, 28 September, 1 November, 8 December, 6 January 2026
The stands will display and sell:
– Furniture, paintings, antiques from the 18th to the 20th century;
– Various objects, costume jewellery, porcelain, copperware, bronze, ceramic glassware, prints, books;
– Black Forest and Valgardena wood carvings from the late 19th to early 20th century; 19th century marbles, bronze sculptures, 19th century ;
– Original Murano glass from the early 20th century, Venetian beads from the 1920s, 19th century ceramics, Venetian objects from the 19th to 20th century, 19th century antique documents, cutlery services, 19th century, 20th century paintings and prints, various Venetian objects from the 19th and 20th centuries;
– Modernised objects, furniture, lamps;
– Italian advertising material up to the 1970s, tin toys etc., philately, numismatics;
– Jewellery, watches, vinyls, cameras.

How is a collection born? What passion animates the collector? Large and small collections require in-depth study and knowledge of the object of one’s desire: a close encounter with some of the protagonists and enthusiasts of art and antiques is an opportunity for the often adventurous telling of their collecting stories, ranging from the rarest and most precious objects to the most domestic and personal. The meeting is open to anyone who would like to tell their passion in turn.
